The Lord blessed Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply, to take dominion over the world and fill it with grateful image bearers. After sin entered, God promised the Messiah would come from the seed of the woman—from a human family (Gen. 3:15). The gospel reconciles us to God and restores relationships within the Christian household as part of His plan to fill the earth with His glory. Psalm 128 paints a picture of the outsized impact and enormous joy of the covenant home.
