Welcome, we are glad you found us! Whether you’ve been a Christian for decades or are first considering the claims of Jesus Christ, we hope you’ll find the love, truth, beauty, kindness and hope of the Gospel embodied in our church and service. There’s nothing like the real thing, but short of that, we hope this will give you an idea of what to expect.

Who goes to Emmanuel Church?
People from every walk of life. The church isn’t a niche club, but a family that consists of all ages, nations, socio-economic backgrounds, giftings and callings. Our goal is be a body that reflects the unity and diversity our Lord enjoys: “If the whole body were an eye, where would be the smelling?” (1 Cor. 12:17).
What is the service like?
You might be unfamiliar with a structured service, but “liturgy” just means “the people’s work.” It’s like a conversation between God and His people. Our service is simple but rich, tapping into biblical rhythms and historic practices of the church. We sing, read Scripture, confess, pray, listen, and take communion, renewing covenant and are sent out blessed by the Lord. The service typically lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes.
May I take communion?
We celebrate the Lord’s Supper every Sunday. All baptized Christians who profess faith in Jesus Christ are encouraged to participate. If you believe in Jesus’ divinity and resurrection for your sins but haven’t been baptized, we’d love to baptize you. If you don’t or are still working through questions, we encourage you to abstain. Please contact an elder with any questions.
What is there for the kids?
Jesus told his disciples to receive the faith of children and imitate it (Matt. 18:2-6), so we are happy to have them with us throughout the service. We have coloring sheets that tie in to the message and crayons on the back table for use during the sermon. We also have rooms for nursing mothers and toddlers.
Faith comes by hearing, and hearing from the word of Christ. –Romans 10:17
