Two Kings

Preacher:
Passage: Genesis 14

Abram traveled to Canaan from Ur, faced famine and sinned in Egypt, saw and touched the land God promised him, and now he goes to war. Abram is not just a wandering nomad, passively hoping God will do something for him, but a warrior who employs his trained men to execute a plan. This is not the sort of story that gets included in the precious moments Bible, which is why it’s so valuable to us. The gospel is present in this story, in the faith of Abram and in the contrasting responses of the kings of Salem and Sodom.
