Like Christians in our day, the Corinthians were confused about the resurrection (v12). They weren’t denying Jesus’ resurrection but their own, so Paul goes back to the gospel—the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus—to argue for the necessity of believers’ resurrection and all that it means. And it means everything.
