The arrival (adventus) of God incarnate in the person of Jesus Christ changed everything. We will mark time from before His coming (B.C.) and after it (A.D. anno Domini) until at least the resurrection to come. This is the Advent we long for even as we celebrate His first one. This season is lawful and ought to be helpful.
