The Resurrection of the World

Passage: Romans 8:18-30

Easter is about the bodily resurrection of Jesus from the dead. This is the most important thing that has ever happened in human history. It’s the culmination of Jesus’ life, ministry, crucifixion and death. Without it we are still in our sins and the world would be completely different. The early Christians made such a big deal about the resurrection that their audience thought they were talking about two gods, Jesus and Resurrection. Easter is not about our souls leaving earth to go to heaven; it’s about heaven coming to earth.
