The title may come from the sermons preached to artillery companies before they elected their officers, but it became common practice to equip God’s people to think and act faithfully in politically tumultuous times. We must not confuse the kingdoms of this world with the kingdom of our Lord, but we also must not fail to obey Christ—the King of kings and Lord of lords—in every sphere of life.
