The Triumphal Entry
The triumphal entry includes two arrivals and two triumphs. Jesus comes into Jerusalem, lowly and riding a colt, the foal of a donkey, to the welcome cries of “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” He also comes into the temple where He is not welcome. There in the court of the Gentiles He condemns and stops the commerce that interferes with worship, and so His enemies plot His death. This too would be part of His triumph.
