The Lord wants Israel to build the tabernacle so He can dwell in their midst. Even in Eden before the fall, Adam and Eve would leave the garden, go into the world to get dominion over it, and then come back into His presence. Sin entered the world, complicating everything, but through His Son, the Father brings us back into His house.
