This is a famously complex passage that is equally misunderstood by feminists and chauvinists, but in it Paul teaches the complementary roles of men and women in Christ. In the gospel of Jesus Christ all sinful rivalry and strife die, including those between men and women. When we understand by comparing Scripture with Scripture, the result is peace and glory in the church.
