The life of Abraham demonstrates that even the most faithful Christians sin. Besetting sins are sins we repeatedly commit. Though perfection is not possible in this life, by grace we make real headway as we strive for holiness. We must never be resigned to sin or make peace with it, but know that as we fight that God’s mission to save the world goes forward.
