Ascended with Jesus
This is Ascension Sunday when we celebrate Jesus’ ascension into heaven that followed forty days after His resurrection. This event is mentioned in the Apostles’ Creed because it’s so important, and the Protestant reformers included it among the five evangelical feast days that framed the year: Christmas, Good Friday, Easter, Ascension, and Pentecost. This is the event that began Jesus’ kingly rule at the right hand of the Father where He continues today.
