There is hardly a more important or sensitive topic to Christian parents than the education of their children. This is actually as it should be because we are assigned the task of raising them in the Lord to serve Him all their days, and education occupies the bulk of that preparation. We want unity in essentials, liberty in non-essentials, and charity in everything, which Philip Schaff said is the watchword of Christian peacemakers. God calls us to ground our convictions in Scripture, and to be gracious to our neighbors as we work them out.
