In His earthly ministry Jesus lived and worked by the power of the Holy Spirit. After completing His work on the cross He ascended into heaven and poured out the Holy Spirit upon the church, gifting individuals with specific gifts so that we can do the work of ministry and grow into the fullness of Christ. Paul teaches us to understand and exercise our spiritual gifts.
