Everyone knows the destructive power of anger and therefore we try to avoid or at least keep it hidden. But in the Bible God has righteous anger and requires His people to imitate Him. The Puritan William Jenkyn said, “Anger should not be destroyed but sanctified.” The gospel empowers us to repent of deadly anger, but also to grow up into Christ in all things.
