Strength in Weakness

Preacher:
Passage: 2 Corinthians 12:7-10

All of us experience difficulties and struggles in life to varying degrees. So how are we to understand why a good, loving, and all-powerful God would allow the lives of even his most faithful saints to be marked by hardship? In Paul's letter to the Corinthians, he shares a personal story about how God answered his prayer for relief from his "thorn in the flesh". God didn't take it away, but He did give an answer that has tremendous implications for how we should think about weakness in ourselves and in others. Instead of being viewed as misfortune or malevolence, we can see it by faith as a special opportunity to reveal God's strength - for our good, and His glory.
