Life is complicated. We saw how complicated it got for Esther entering and winning the pageant for Queen of Persia. We expect some relief and strength for God’s people as a result, but as the preacher said, “Time and chance happen to them all”. This story is full of pearls, but the greater effect is to back up and see the way the God, who isn’t mentioned, tells a story—Mordecai’s, Haman’s, and yours.
