Abraham’s life comes to an end, but his legacy of faith carries on. Even though he sinned with Hagar and, now we learn, Keturah, he dies “an old man and full of years, and was gathered to his people”. He believed in the resurrection and was planted as a seed next to Sarah. God blessed, forgave and sustained Abraham, and now He will continue keeping His promise to bless the nations through his seed. Just as God chose Isaac, so He will choose Jacob, revealing His mercy and unassailable comfort to all His chosen people.
