Many of you have heard that Pastor Voddie Baucham passed away this week from health complications. He was only 56 and leaves behind his wife and nine children. This statement was made on behalf of the CREC on our social media:
On behalf of the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches, I extend our deepest sorrow at the passing of Rev. Dr. Voddie Baucham. Our brother was a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, who lived and proclaimed the Gospel with courage, conviction, and joy. He blessed many of our congregations with his fearless teaching on the centrality of Christ, the nurture of covenant families, and the glory of God’s grace.
We commend his soul into the everlasting arms of his Redeemer and pray that the God of all comfort would surround his wife and children with peace that passes understanding. May the Lord grant to all who mourn the steadfast hope of the resurrection and the assurance that in Christ, death is swallowed up in victory.
