Passage: Colossians 3:23-24

So far the topics in our discipleship series have been fairly predictable—union with Christ, assurance of salvation, Bible reading, prayer, and witnessing. This subject is less common, but in terms of time for application it is the most relevant. You work more than you do anything else. Of the 168 hours in a week, on average 48 are spent sleeping, 44-49 working outside the home not counting preparation, commuting, and household work. All aspects of discipleship are connected and integrated in a life devoted to the Lord, especially our work.
