God is sovereign over all things, and even though life is vapor and impossible for man to control, Solomon does not tell us to despair. Just because you are not in control of everything, does not mean you can’t control anything. Wisdom matters. Solomon addressed ethical and philosophical objections to God’s sovereignty in, now he through practical problems, building to the conclusion. It’s the gift of God to enjoy the good of your labor, and not just at the end of the day, but in all the ways you conduct yourself. In His kindness God gives prudence and wisdom, and this affects every minute of life.
