Creating Friends 2019

August 21, 2019

For many families, summer is often packed with fun activities, from Vacation Bible School to sports and summer day camps.  Although our area is fortunate to have many programs catered to those with special needs, many come with a high cost, and few are able to accommodate a wide range of ages and abilities – but we know firsthand that some of the best summer memories are created when siblings and friends are able to share the same experiences.

Creating Friends provides an opportunity for kids of all abilities, personalities and backgrounds to spend a day creating art and enjoying food, music and games together.  As our name suggests, we desire to see friendships formed and strengthened along the way.  We love seeing the natural interactions and fun that happens on this day!

Creating Friends is FREE and open to any child or young adult impacted by disability, regardless of their age, as well as any siblings or friends (includes children of adult volunteers) between the ages of 4 and 12*.

As a ministry of Trinity Church and Emmanuel Church, it is our hope that every participant, no matter what their beliefs, will experience Jesus’ love and care through this event.  We believe wholeheartedly that all are created in God’s image and for His glory, and therefore pledge to treat each and every one of our participants with the same love, dignity and care that we have been given through Him – we truly hope you’ll join us!

Heidelfest 2019

Trinity & Emmanuel churches invite you to our annual Heidelfest, a celebration of thankfulness for God’s abundant gifts in the fall season. Heidelberg was the German city where Martin Luther defended his famous 95 theses at the beginning of the Protestant Reformation, winning over so many people in the town and university to the gospel of grace that it would go on to become a center of Reformation life and culture. This celebratory life blooms at Heidelfest, bringing together a medley of deliciously hand-crafted food, tasty beverages, relay races, music, and plenty of fun activities for the little ones. There is also a Marketplace tent, stocked with craft home and fresh baked goods, with all proceeds going to benefit Creating Friends Camp and families impacted by disability.

God reveals Himself to the world in His acts of deliverance. Come see Israel go from slavery to salvation in Exodus, the story that foreshadows Jesus’ victory over slavery, Satan, and death.

“I will get glory over Pharaoh and over all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD” (Ex. 14:4).

Place: Providence Classical Christian School

Women’s Evening Fellowship

Throughout the year, women from Emmanuel come together in fellowship, prayer, and study of God’s Word.  Currently we are meeting on the first Sunday evening of every month (with the exception of holiday weekends).  This is a wonderful way to get to know other women and be encouraged in your walk with the Lord. We would love for you to join us!
